Professional Biography
Jennifer Davit Kuper, President
Jennifer Kuper is a seasoned communications professional with expertise in writing, editing, project management and events planning. Prior to establishing Kuper Communications, Jennifer worked as the Corporate Communications Associate Manager for NISH, a central agency that helps administer AbilityOne, a $1.8 billion annual federal program that employs people with severe disabilities.  In that position, Jennifer managed all internal and external publications, including a monthly newsmagazine with a circulation of more than 11,000, a quarterly newsletter for associated nonprofit agencies and an internal publication. In addition, she oversaw the production of the organization’s annual report, resource kits, conference marketing materials and a variety of brochures.

For eight years, Jennifer also managed the trade show for NISH’s annual conference. During her tenure as the Trade Show Manager, Jennifer more than doubled exhibitor attendance and tripled revenue generated by promotional opportunities. She also implemented a conference sponsorship program, as well as a lead retrieval program for exhibitor leads, registration services and session tracking. 

Before joining the disabilities group, Jennifer worked for The Wall Street Journal, where she co-authored a front-page article that was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize. Jennifer also has experience writing and editing for a business consulting firm, a news wire service and community newspapers.

Jennifer has a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Maryland-College Park and a certificate in event and meeting planning from San Jose State University. She also completed a minor in special education and is familiar with American Sign Language.

She and her husband, Jeff, reside in Woodbridge, Va. with their two-year-old daughter, Madison.
